Bridal Alterations

Where the fitting is about you, so your dress fits your body, your day, and the way you want to feel walking in.
"You’re in the right place. Whatever you want for your dress, we’ll make it happen."
- Carmen, Founder of CleanMeNow

"What If” To “This Feels Right”

Standing in front of the mirror in a wedding dress can feel a lot more stressful than people admit. The hem skims the floor and you suddenly picture stairs, grass, that first walk down the aisle. The top feels okay until you imagine hugging family, sitting through dinner, or raising your arms to dance. You keep trying to fix it in small ways, shifting your weight, lifting the skirt, pulling the bodice a little tighter, telling yourself it is “probably fine,” while a small part of you wonders, “What if something feels wrong and I cannot ignore it on the day?”

Brides come in with their bundle of worries and “what ifs,” and we talk through them before we touch a pin. Then, step by step, we check how the dress looks and feels when you stand, sit, and walk, and make careful changes so it sits the way it should on your body. As the fitting goes on, the mirror moment shifts. You start to see yourself instead of the problems: the dress sitting where you want it, staying put when you move, feeling secure enough that you can breathe a little easier. By the time you are back in your own clothes, the dress feels settled in your mind, and it is easier to picture yourself enjoying the day, from first photos to the last dance.

Your Dress And His Suit, Effortlessly Perfect Together

There is a lot that can be adjusted on wedding and formal wear, both for brides and grooms. Maybe you bought a sample, a passed‑down gown, or a dress that was close enough in the store, and now you are wondering what is actually possible to fix. Maybe your suit or tux feels good on the hanger but pulls when you button it, or gaps a little when you move. You do not have to know the right terms for any of it. You can simply show us what feels off, and we will walk through what is possible together. Sometimes it is a small change like adjusting the hem or tightening a strap. Other times it is more involved, like reshaping the bodice, taking in or letting out at the waist, refining the line of a jacket and sleeves, or even restructuring parts of the dress. We can also add or remove beading, lace, or other embellishments so the details match how you pictured them. The idea is to turn “I hope this works” into “this looks and feels like mine” when you put it on.

For the best experience, come in 2 to 4 weeks before your wedding or special event. That gives us time for a first fitting, a second try‑on about 2 weeks later, and a final 2 weeks for any last adjustments so everything sits and moves the way it should. You do not need an appointment, you can simply walk in during our business hours.

Our fastest standard turnaround is about 2 weeks. If your date is very close, we can often prioritize last‑minute wedding dresses within a few days for a fair rush charge, and we will always be upfront about what is possible with your date.

For bridal fittings, bring everything you plan on wearing with your dress on the actual day. That means your wedding shoes, the bra or corset you will use, and any shapewear or undergarments you prefer. All of these details change how your dress sits on your body, so having them with you lets us fit it exactly how you plan to wear it.

The same goes for bridesmaids, prom, grooms, quinceañeras, and any special event look. Bring the shoes and underlayers you plan to wear, and we will help you get fully ready for your event so you walk in feeling put together and taken care of.

It is very common to feel that way, especially with a wedding dress. All of our work is done in house by experienced seamstresses and tailors, and the founder herself does the alterations. Our team has over 30 years of experience and works on hundreds of bridal and special event dresses every year, including delicate designer gowns.

We take our time to pin, check, and recheck your dress, so you always feel it is in good hands.

It is very common for brides to notice small changes in their body before the wedding, and you are not alone in that. We see it often, which is why we usually suggest bringing your dress in about 3 to 4 weeks before your wedding. That timing gives us room to do the work with care while your body is likely to stay very similar.

If your dress ever starts to feel a little too loose or a little too tight, you can reach out and bring it in. The sooner we see it, the more we can usually do to help it fit well again. In rare cases, we have even helped brides and grooms on the day of their wedding, and our team knows exactly what to do when a dress needs fast attention.

Feeling unsure when you first put your dress on happens more often than people admit. Most gowns are made in standard sizes, so they can sit strangely on a real body and make certain areas feel a bit tight, loose, or just “off.”

What we do is take the dress you chose and make it work for your shape. When you bring your dress in, we pay attention to how it sits on you, then adjust the fit through your bust, waist, hips, and length so it supports you and shows off your figure.

The goal is simple: when you come pick up your dress, you see yourself in the mirror, feel proud of how you look, and feel that spark of excitement to finally wear it.
